Optimization and Re-Design of Integrated Thermal Protection Systems Considering Thermo-Mechanical Performance

Integrated thermal protection system (ITPS) is regarded as one of the most promising concepts with both insulation and load-bearing capacities. However, traditional layout webs could inevitably lead to short effects high risk buckling failure ITPS. A topological optimization method for unit cell ITPS was established minimize equivalent conductivity elastic strain energy constraint maintaining structural efficiency. The re-designed consulting optimized configuration. In order control buckling-mode shape associated load ITPS, new design further optimized, subjected total weight initial design.
